Terry Andrew Campbell, 73, passed away April 2, 2018 at 3:43 a.m.  He was born on September 16, 1944 at St. Joseph Hospital in Memphis, TN to Alice Eudora (Booker) Campbell and Andrew Hoyt Campbell.  Terry attended Whitehaven High School in Memphis, TN. As a teenager attending Haven View Baptist Church, he accepted Christ as his Savior.  He was hired by Illinois Central Railroad, later called Canadian National, where he worked as a machinist and retired with 40 Years of service.  Terry was known as "Goat" to his friends and railroad family.  He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and traveled all over the country on it. His main love was railroading, and he loved everything about it; the movement of the train when he rode one, the sounds they made as they moved on the tracks, the smell of the train yard, and the beauty of the old buildings.  He was building a model railroad layout in his basement when he became disabled.  He couldn't complete the layout, but would often make trees or paint pieces for others to use on their layouts.  Terry volunteered at the Memphis Train & Trolley Museum for years even while in a wheelchair.  He also was a volunteer at Elmwood Cemetery and helped with many of their events.
Terry loved to travel and had visited Canada, his favorite place being Nova Scotia, and every state in the continental United States.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Finton Campbell, his sons: Robert and Bill (Beth), daughter Toni (Ishtiaq), his grandchildren: Devon (Candice), Lauren (Michael), Mallorie (Kerry), Jared (Gail), Alex, his youngest grandchild, Liam, and great grandson, Landon and one sister Juanita McDaniel.
In lieu of flowers, Terry requested that you use the money to treat your family or a friend to dinner and let them know how special they are to you.  He believed that this would be the best possible way to honor his memory.
