Thais Yeager Watson, age 79, passed away on December 14 after a 17 month battle with cancer. She was born on February 16, 1934 in Wiggins, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her father, Wesley Yeager, and her mother, Thais Yeager. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Wendell Watson, her daughter, Sharon Watson, her son, Wesley Watson (Vicky), and her grandson, Brian Taylor. Thais retired after teaching 30 years in the Memphis City School System. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was dearly loved by everyone who knew her. A devout Christian, she was a member of Grace Evangelical Church. Visitation will be at Grace Evangelical Church, 9750 Wolf River Blvd., Germantown, TN 38139 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17 followed immediately by the funeral service. Burial services will be at Forest Hill Cemetery East, 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN 38133 following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Grace Venture c/o Grace Evangelical Church.
