Thelma Louise Smalley, 97, of Arlington, TN, passed away February 9, 2015 at Appling Woods Health Care. Visitation will be Thursday, February 12 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. with service immediately following at Forest Hill East Funeral Home on Whitten Road. Thelma was born October 6, 1917 in Memphis to the late Booker and Pairlee Brown. She is a member of Quail Ridge Church of Christ in Bartlett, TN. She loved fishing, gardening and spending as much time as possible with friends and family. Thelma was preceded in death by Floyd Smalley, Sr., married 70 years and son, Gary Smalley. She leaves three sons, Floyd (Pat) Smalley, Jr., Gene (Norma) Smalley, and Randy (Theresa) Smalley; two sisters, Emma Jean Parker, Sadie Holiday; two brothers, Kenneth Brown, Vernon Brown; five granddaughters; and eight great grandchildren. She loved her family and friends deeply and was loved by all.
