Thomas William Holcomb, 89, of Southaven, MS passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis. Mr. Holcomb was born in Sledge, MS to the late T.W. and Dora Holcomb. He was the last of 10 children. Thomas served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, retiring with the rank of BT1. He then came to Memphis and joined the Memphis City Fire Department and retired after 28 years. He leaves his wife of 61 years, Rosa Lee Holcomb, his son, Neal Holcomb (Lynn) of Michigan City, MS and daughter, Tammy Parker of Southaven; two grandsons: Daniel Holcomb (Kendra) and Joshua Holcomb (Jennifer); 8 great-grandchildren: Elijah, Rebekah, Noah, Jonah, Isabella, Gianna, Gabriel and Liliana. Visitation will be from 10:30 -12 p.m. Monday, December 19 at First Baptist Church of Coldwater, MS with service immediately following. Burial will be in Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park Cemetery, South 2545 E. Holmes Rd. Memphis, TN 38118.
