Thomas Janski

Thomas Janski died peacefully at the age of 90 on May 3, 2017 in Franklin, Tennessee. He was a loyal husband and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was born on September 28, 1926 in Vilonia, Arkansas and resided there until he moved to Memphis at the age of 20 with the love of his life, Lacoma Jean Janski, who preceded him in death in 2010. Thomas worked for the Rock Island Railroad as a mechanic until he retired in 1958. He was a hardworking man and enjoyed working with his hands. He also loved fishing and trains. Tom and Jean spent the next 64 years camping, fishing and exploring the great outdoors with their family. He is survived by his son, Larry Wayne Janski and daughter-in-law, Sarah Janski; granddaughter, Kristen Charbonneau and her husband, Jeremy Charbonneau; great-grandson, Landon Charbonneau.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 8, at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, Tennessee, 38133.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital .
