Obituary

Thomas "Tom" Ray Jordan, Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather 'Papa"  age 84, of Bartlett, TN lost his long battle with Alzheimer's and Covid, and passed away at his home, July 5, 2022 with his wife, and constant companion continuing their journey together as always.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mai Dell and Allen Jordan; and one nephew,Kevin Benham (Natalie).

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, "PJ", (Patricia Jordan), his son, Bo (Amy) Jordan of Cordova, TN; two daughters, Lina (Rick) Frandin of Meridian, ID, and Kimberlee Caldwell of Atoka, TN; one adoring sister, Barbara Benham of Bartlett, TN; one nephew, Randy (Tina) Benham.

He leaves behind his cherished grandsons and their families; Cody (Ashley) Caldwell of Atoka, TN, Peyton (Charly) Caldwell of Brighton, TN, and Garrett Hester of Meridian, ID; and four great grandchildren, Alexis, Leyton, Raegan, Axell, and another one on the way!

Tom was a founding member of Crossroads Baptist Church of Cordova, TN. He was a true servant always available to help in any capacity and always demonstrating his love and support of his Pastor, Rob Mullins who he referred to as "our Shepherd". Prior, "TJ" was a member for 21 years at Bellevue Baptist Church where he served as an usher, a greeter, and a member of Bellevue's Disaster Relief Team. He was truly a servant taking immense pride in introducing visitors to his church and church family.

"Papa" cherished his time with his grandsons teaching them about the LORD and their salvation as well as the importance of the character of a man.

Tom was a Master woodworker though he spent his working life in metal fabrication and design. He served in the US Air Force and was a member of an elite air team participating in competitions all over the world. After the Air Force, Tom attended William R. Moore School of Mechanical Drafting followed by Christian Brothers College and went on to work for major airplane manufacturers, Boeing and McDonald Douglas among others.

Despite the challenges of his long battle with Alzheimer's disease and Covid, our family is blessed and comforted by knowing that Papa's awesome smile, special hugs, and sparkling blue eyes will one day greet all of us again.
