Thomas "Tommy" Lynch, 88, of Memphis, TN, was born July 3, 1924 and died November 28, 2012. He was a member of St. John''s Episcopal Church since 1948, retired chief gas dispatcher for 32 years with MLG&W and also retired from TN Public Service Commission as gas safety inspector and was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Lynch is survived by his wife of 69 years, Martha Gibson Lynch; daughters, Martha Dee White (Keith) of Alexander City, AL and Dr. Dana Poisal (Dr. Sam) of Atoka, TN; son, Thomas "Tom" F. Lynch, Jr. (Terie) of Byhalia, MS; sister, Carolyn Brady of Saugerties, NY; grandchildren Alan White (Claire) of Smyrna, GA, Kyle Lynch (Megan) of Memphis, TN, Kevin Lynch (Whitney) of Fairborn, OH, Andrew Poisal and Marina Poisal both of Atoka, TN and Bennett, great-grandson on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Caroline Dukeman Lynch; sisters, Grace Logan and Margaret Garten. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., Saturday, December 1, 2012 with services to follow at 2 p.m. at St. John''s Episcopal Church. Interment will be in the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. The family requests that any memorials be made to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital.
