Thomas Walter McDaniel 80, of Olive Branch MS was  born in Dyersburg, Tennessee on February 23, 1946. After a short illness he passed away on August 16, 2026.

Tom graduated from Whitehaven High School with honors earning a trip to England where he fell in love with Scotland. He was very active, getting cast in multiple school plays. Tom attended Ole Miss then decided to finish his college degree at Memphis State so he could work as a clerk until he graduated receiving his degree to practice law. He was a member of the American Bar ASSN and was a practicing attorney from 1971 until retirement in 2018. He was a published poet and held position of laureate with the Poetry Society of Tennessee.

Tom leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Sharon. A Son, Thomas W. McDaniel (Monica), 4 grandchildren (Brodie, Macy, Logan Peyton), and 2 great-grandchildren (Lydia & Alice). A sister Georgeann Hetzel and a host of other family and friends.
