Thomas Hugh Priddy, 77, passed away at Methodist Hospital Germantown on October 14, 2022. Thomas leaves behind a sister Rita Kunzel (Kurt), nieces Shannon Dorris (Michael), Jennifer Rauch (Brandon), and Kristi Johnston (Adam), a nephew Michael Platt, and 8 grandnieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Edna Priddy.

Tommy had an insatiable interest in archeology and astronomy. He spent months documenting the night sky daily in amazing detail. H is beautiful drawings were exquisite representations of the planets, stars, and their movements, night after night. If you had any question about ancient history, archeolog y, old movies, Memphis history, Memphis buildings, … all you had to do was ask Tommy and he would enlighten you.

However, his primary love in life , besides his family , was his art, originally color pencil and paper drawings, but later acrylic paintings on canvas. He primarily worked on landscapes, seascapes, and city scenes. His inspiration came from childhood memories, movies, books, archeology, and historical events. What originally began as a part-time interest and hobby, evolved into a passion to which he devoted most of his time. He wanted his work to be his legacy after he passed.

Although Tommy never married, he leaves a family who loved him very much and who will miss his kindness and gentle nature.
