IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas E.
"Tom" Brumbelow
December 12, 1947 – May 21, 2024
Thomas (Tom) E. Brumbelow, 76, of Walls, MS passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones on May 21, 2024. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend that anyone could have ever asked for.
Tom was a deacon at Compel Church where he attended faithfully until cancer overtook his body. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lula and Bill Brumbelow.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 33 years, Patricia (Trisha). He leaves his sister Elaine LeMay of Olive Branch and Anita Shugart of Pensacola, Florida. He is also survived by his children, Jennifer Rathburn (Southaven), Milissa Jan Stewart (Southaven), Emily Dyas Moore (Hernando), Beau (Jaimie) Dyas (Port St. Lucie, FL), Laurie (Christie) Baker (Munford, TN), Emily S. (John) Brumbelow Harris (Nesbit), Jordan (Elizabeth) Brumbelow (Hernando), and two "adopted" sons- Bobby Stewart and Jack Hardy.
His grandchildren include Blake, Sarah, Taylor, Cory, Peyton, Matt, Jayden, Cody, Mady, Charly, Blayne, Landon, Victoria, Jackson, Jonathon, Shelby, Sydney Paige, Brianna, Avery, Sydney, and Sadie. His great-grandchildren include Knox, Nora, Mia, Charlotte, Caroline, Layla, Graham, and number eight due in October 2024).
Tom served in the Air Force from 1967-1971, being stationed in Germany. He was also a reserve deputy for DeSoto County Sheriff Department for 17 years. Tom had a passion for helping others which carried over into his business of being a contractor for 33 years. Tom loved to keep our freezer filled with deer meat by hunting every season for as long as he could as it was his favorite thing to do.
Tom was a strong Christian, genuine, a man of his word, with great integrity and honor. He made a huge impact on everyone he met. He was a great witness and servant of God. No matter if he was at work or in the hospital, his love of Christ shined through him always. He never failed to tell people about his love of Jesus and invite them to church. Oh, how he loved Jesus and being a child of God and praising Him through music. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He will see us all again one day.
In lieu of flower donations to America Cancer Society would be appreciated.
