Tommie Jean Powers, 77, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017, at her home in Scottshill, TN. She was born July 10, 1940 to Tom and Mattie Callens in Dundee, MS. She is survived by her husband, Jessie Powers; nine children, ONeal (Brenda) Kilpatrick, Jr. of Strayhorn, MS; Kevin (Melinda) Kilpatrick of Strayhorn, MS; Kenny (Annette) Kilpatrick of Horn Lake, MS; Mary(Dwayne)Wims of Horn Lake, MS; John(Kim) Powers of Scottshill, TN; Jason (Amanda) Powers of Scottsdale, TN; Jennifer Powers of Scottshill, TN; Sonny (Bridget) Kilipatrick of Bowling Green, KY; Ed(Terri) Schultz of Crowne Point, IN; 27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Jean loved her family unconditionally and loved GOD. She was a Methodist. She is preceded in death by her parents Tom and Mattie Callens, her late husband, ONeal Kilpatrick, Sr.; and three sisters, Margie Evans, Virginia Callens, and Ruth Cook, The family request in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Special Olympics Mississippi DeSoto Region, P.O.
