Born January 21, 1926 - died February 28, 2015
Tommie Lou was born in Crockett County, TN, to Tommie Dee and Betty Lou (Vernon) Grant. She married Shannon Levell Davis on March 3, 1946. They resided in Memphis, TN. had four children: Terry Shannon, Shirley Monette, Janis Lynn and Stanley Ray. In 1954 they moved to Union City, Georgia. In 1991 Tommie and Shannon moved to Fayetteville, GA, Shannon died in August of 1997. Tommie Lou met Fred Wallace Golden in 2004 at a school reunion (they had been high school sweethearts), and they married June 25, 2005 and lived in Fayetteville GA. and Memphis, TN. Tommie Lou attended Shadnor First Baptist Church, Union City, GA til 1991 and moving to Fayetteville began attending Calvary Temple in Peachtree City. Tommie's oldest child, Terry Shannon Davis, passed away April 27th 2004. Tommie Lou is survived by her husband Fred Wallace Golden, Memphis TN, daughter Monette (John) Jacks, Melbourne, Australia, daughter Janis (Charles) Osborne, Duluth, GA, son Ray (Elizabeth) Davis, Douglasville, GA and daughter-in-law Claire (Terry) Davis, Cuming, GA, brother, Robert H. McCaleb, Memphis, TN. Tommie is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Amanda Self (Chuck) Whiteman, Roswell, GA., Jason (Kara) Davis, Cuming, GA. Robert (Emily) Self, Peachtree City, GA., Nathan Davis, Lilburn, GA. Jonathan(Amanda) Davis, Carrollton, GA., Michael Davis, Douglasville, GA. Great-grandchildren, Nicole (Mario) Laucella, Cuming, GA. Heather (Brett) Roberson, Atlanta, GA., Cameron Whiteman, Grant Whiteman, Chloe Whiteman of Roswell GA., Liam and Marlow Davis of Cuming, GA, Foster Self, Milly Self of Peachtree City, GA., Tory and Avery Davis Temple GA. Great-great-grandchildren Evan and Sofia Laucella, Cumming, GA. Niece: Bettye (Charles) Phillips, Collierville, TN., and many others nieces and nephews and friends.
