Olive Branch - TOMMY WAYNE MORRIS, born October 6, 1941 in Poinsett County, Arkansas to the late Cecil Elmer Morris and Ina Mae Christine Morris, passed away August 5, 2013. Mr. Morris was an avid golfer and Razorback fan. He retired from BellSouth and was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam. Family was everything to him. Visitation from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, August 8; and Service at 10 a.m., Friday, August 9, both at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeff Morris; brothers, J.T. Morris (spouse, Becky) of Rogers, AR and Joe Morris of Nesbit. He leaves his wife, Jean Steed Morris of Olive Branch; daughters, Tina Poppelreiter (Mike) of Southaven and Melissa Morris of Olive Branch; grandchildren, Katie Jarnagin (Jesse) of Southaven and Jeffrey Poppelreiter of Southaven; brother, Cecil Dale Morris (Brenda) of Olive Branch; and four sisters, Loudon Denton of Nesbit, Pat Raines (Larry), Brownsville, TN, Debbie Hoard (Elvie) of Memphis, TN, Phyllis Metzer (Harold), Deer Park, WA.
