Tommy Franklin White

October 5, 1954 – September 9, 2025

Tommy White, 70, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 9, 2025. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, on October 5, 1954. Tommy grew up in Memphis, Tennessee raised his family in Southaven, Mississippi. They moved to Somerville, Tennessee where he enjoyed country life and later retired to Lakeland, Florida.

Tommy was a master electrician, a true craftsman who could fix or build anything. He was also a man of many talents and passions. He loved working on cars, especially his beloved 1956 Chevy and enjoyed playing the guitar and writing songs.

On October 12, 1973, Tommy married the love of his life, Rhonda White. Together, they shared 52 years of a happy, devoted marriage, raising a family that became the center of his world. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; daughter, Ginger Quirk (Eddie); grandchildren, James David Quirk (Kathleen), Ashleigh Hudson (Shaun), and Noah Quirk (Maya); and great-grandchildren, Alaina Quirk, Allie Quirk, Elijah Hudson, and Samuel Quirk.

Tommy is preceded in death by his son, Travis Brooks White; his parents, Gannie and Mary White; and his sister, Virginia Diane Beck.

He will be remembered as the hardest working man, a straight shooter, and a fiercely loyal husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was generous, funny, wise, deeply patriotic, and loved by all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the grit, determination, faith, and love he instilled in his family.

A celebration of Tommy's life will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home 2440 Whitten Rd Memphis TN 38133. Visitation is from 1 pm to 2 pm with Services following at 2pm.
