Tommye Ruth Ferguson went to be with Jesus on December 25, 2020 in the town of Tampa Florida (her home was in Land O Lakes, FL).   She was proceeded by her mother, Eva Moore, her father, Alfred T. Moore, and her brother, Alfred T. Moore Jr.  Ruth was born in Chattanooga TN on April 2, 1940.  She was married to Jerry Dale Ferguson.  They lived in Memphis TN, Walls MS, Horn Lake MS and then in Lake Cormorant MS.

She was a great stay-at-home mom and worked part-time sewing and giving piano lessons. She also worked at Amro Music Store and Merle Norman.  She kept grandchildren and loved them dearly. She was an avid quilter and loved finding others who enjoyed it also.  She loved learning and keeping records about our family's history.

She was survived by her sister, Loraine Wilbanks , her son, Lee Ferguson, his wife Charlotte, her daughter, Teresa Williams and her husband Ralph, her five grandchildren, Kenneth, Cynthia, Sam, Heather and Victoria. Her great grandchildren, Alexis, Zoey, Zackary, Alyssa, Savannah, Lilly and Tristan.  She also had many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Forest Hill South, located at 2545 E. Holmes Road, Memphis, TN. on Friday January 15 th at 2pm.
