Varena Marjorie Putman, 92, of Memphis, TN, passed away June 17, 2015. She was born January 13, 1923. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Putman, and her son, Ron Doss. Varena was known for her wonderful sense of humor and her love of God. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and fishing and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Bill Doss (Jenny) of Memphis, her brother, Eugene Pepper (Dorothy) of MS, 3 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She attended Colonial Baptist Church. A private ceremony will be held at the graveside for family and friends at Forest Hill - Midtown at 10 am, on Friday, June 19, 2015.
