Vaudie Rae Emerson, age 85, of Southaven, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 15, 1937 to the late John and Oma Trainer. Vaudie's life revolved around the church and children. She worked in the nursery at Carriage Hills Baptist Church and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed camping, allowing her children to invite their friends to come along, and she also enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Garden Club in Southaven.

In addition to her parents, Vaudie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James C. Emerson, brothers J. W. Trainer and Marion Trainer, and her sisters, Elizabeth Furniss and Jennie Wims.
Vaudie will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Paul Emerson and Phil Emerson, daughters Pam Matheson (Pete) and Pat Holloway (Ricky), ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 10:00 am at
