Vavie Sue Kratochwill was born September 13, 1940, and passed away October 6, 2024 in Memphis, TN. Sue lived a fulfilling life as a single mother of Christopher Kratochwill. Her next best calling was becoming Mam Maw to Kailey Kratochwill, and MeMaw to her great granddaughter Aniyah.

Sue loved to garden, and the perimeter of her yard boosted with beautiful flowers of all colors including roses. Caring for her family and home was an honor and privilege. For over 50 years Sue was a wonderful neighbor and built everlasting friendships. Sue was a faithful believer in God, with many years of service and membership at Leawood Baptist Church. She enjoyed her Sunday school class so much and worshiping with fellow church members who were dear friends. Sue loved sharing stories from her extended family  that lived in New Albany, MS and Myrtle, MS.

Sue is survived by her son Chris Kratochwill, daughter in law Tina Kratochwill of Memphis, TN; granddaughter Kailey Kratochwill, great granddaughter Aniyah Turner of Hot Springs AR; niece Angela Pittman (Barnes) of Hot Springs AR. Sue has been blessed with bonus kids and
grandchildren, Kayla, Gunter, and Olan of  Denver CO. Emmitt, Sydney, Slater, and Sunny of Brighton TN. Mitchel, Maddie, Lincoln, and Grayson of Fairbanks AK. Connor of San Antonio, TX and Jordan of Memphis TN. She was preceded in death by her Father JD Barnes, Mother Inez Armour,  and brother Wayne Barnes.

Sue was the epitome of beauty and grace, and leaves a legacy of love. Her beautiful blue eyes and love for flowers will live on forever in our hearts. After the services are held, please join Christopher and Tina at their home for a small gathering at 7678 Shadow Glen Lane, Bartlett, TN. 38002.
