Velma Lucille Lemmon, 81, of Byhalia, MS, died November 4, 2014. She loved the time she worked for the Memphis Police Department. Mrs. Lemmon was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Lemmon. She is survived by her children, Joyce B. Wagner, Gary L. Ballard (Glenda), Lisa L. Porter (Richard); ex-daughter in law, Michelle Ballard; six grandchildren, Ashley (Michael) Lemay, Jonathan (Michelle) Wagner, Casey Wagner, Cody Ballard, Destiny Ballard, Blake Porter; and three great grandchildren, Sklyar Sisco, Hudson Wagner, Christian Lemay. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, November 6 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home, with family receiving friends an hour prior.
