Velma Viola Porter was born December 31, 1929 to the parents Robert and Bertha Porter. She died in Southaven, MS on November 15, 2022 at 9:50am. Velma graduated from Cascilla High in 1950. She retired from Mercury Printing Company where she worked as a sales representative for numerous years. While working at the printing company she won salesperson of the year several times. Velma is preceded in death by her partner of 51 years Marie Spencer, her mother Mary Bertha Porter and her father Robert Jeff Porter, her brothers Alfred and Jeff "Buddy" Porter (Enda) her sisters Oma Artel Read (Hugh) and Mary Louise Sykes (Junior). She is survived by her sister Mavis Mitchell (Sonny) and many nieces and nephews.
