Venita Sorrell, 82, of Memphis, TN, went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2014. Venita was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hortense Reeves, and her husband John W. Sorrell, Jr. She leaves behind those who helped care for her, sister, Jimmie Eggert, nephew, Darin Eggert, and great nephew, Nick Eggert, along with her nieces, Debbie Hogue (Ricky) and Susan Edwards (Ronnie). Venita also leaves behind her stepson, Jerry Sorrell, stepdaughter, Franki Coons, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held Friday, December 5th, at Forest Hill Funeral Home - Midtown. Visitation for family and friends will be at 1:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Midtown.
