Obituary

Victor McCrory, 79 of Memphis, passed away on Monday, December 23rd in his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Era (Hall) McCrory; his wife, Sharon McCrory; and son, David Deming.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Hutchinson (James) and Shannon Gough (Cary); son, Keith McCrory; two sisters, Gwen Hamblin and Linda Luckett (Donald); grandchildren, Kelsea Owen (Courtland), Victoria Hutchinson (Jake Higginbotham), Quentin Hutchinson (Abby), Zach Gough, and Nick Deming and great-granddaughter Anora Owen.

Victor served in the Air Force where he learned a trade that led to a career and later his own business in repairing/selling office machine products. In his later years, he was a substitute teacher for DeSoto County Schools in Mississippi where he had been a long-time resident before moving to Memphis. He was a member of Asbury Methodist Church and very much lovedattending there, especially his Sunday School class.

He was known for his incredible cooking, particularly his biscuits and for always having a joke or witty comment. He loved football, especially Alabama – "Roll Tide".

He will be greatly missed for his advice, jokes, and cooking.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Cancer Society would be most kind.
