V. Marie Holder Nanney, 93, passed away March 16, 2017 at Millington Healthcare
Center. She was born February 29, 1924 and raised in the Harts Bridge Community of
Jackson, TN. Memphis, TN was her home since 1946. She was preceded in death by her
husband of forty-eight years, Cecil Nanney; a sister, Linda Mae Johnson; and three
brothers: Raymond, Jr., Bill, and Charles Holder. She leaves behind her daughters: Janice
Nanney and Sharon(Kenneth) Lorenzen of Memphis, TN; granddaughter, Jennifer(Tyler)
Lehr; and two great-granddaughters, Arianna and Bella Lehr all of Grand Junction, CO.
She was an active charter Member of West Frayser Baptist Church. A visitation will be
held Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 2-4 pm with a funeral service Monday morning at
10:00; both to be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East. Interment will be Monday
afternoon at East Laurel Cemetery in Jackson, TN. Any memorials can be made to West
Frayser Baptist Church.
