Virginia "Nell" Carmikle , 85, of Memphis and formerly of Osceola, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord peacefully at her home August 17, 2018 .
Nell was born in Armorel, Arkansas on December 15, 1932, the daughter of the late William Martin and Myrtle Bessie (Pugh) Spencer.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Malvin "Buddy" Carmikle; sister, Lilly Magnini and brothers, Lannie, Vannie, Berl, James and Ray.  She was a longtime member of Forestview Church of Christ and was retired from Pennaco Hosiery.

Nell is survived by her daughters; Debra Morris, Patty Jenkins, Cindy Quick and Genny House, ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, as well as extended family and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday August 19, 2018 from 1pm to 2pm with a funeral service to follow at 2 pm and committal immediately after.  All services to be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park – East
