Virginia Wills Church, 96, formerly of Memphis, TN, passed away on Monday July 30, 2012 in Water Valley, MS. Virginia was born December 7, 1915. She was the third of four daughters, and her father was a conductor for the IC Railroad. Virginia attended Southside High School, where she met the love of her life, Charles Stone Church. Charles was part owner of the family business Church Hardware. Virginia and Charles had three daughters and one son, and were active members of LaBelle Haven Baptist Church. In 1969 the family moved to Hernando, MS, and became members of the First Baptist Church of Coldwater. After her husband''s death in 1999, Virginia moved to Azalea Gardens Assisted Living Community in Oxford, MS, where she lived for 13 years, before moving to the Yalobusha County nursing home in April of this year. Virginia is survived by her daughters and son - Charlene Quinn (Mike) of Bartlett, TN, Faith Margaret Church of Lakeland, TN, Becky Hipp (Ron) of Oxford, MS, and Charles (Bud) Church, Jr. (Joni) of Germantown, TN; and by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Charles Stone Church, and her sisters, Charlyne Woods, Mildred Owen, and Martha Jane McGee. Funeral services will be at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery Midtown in Memphis, TN at 1 PM Friday, preceded by visitation from 12 PM to 1 PM.
