Virginia Lee Cody, (known as Jenny by all that knew her for many years), widow of James Edward Cody of Memphis, TN passed away peacefully in her home at age 95. Virginia was born July 16, 1930 in Stantonville, TN to Gillis and Ann Meek. Virginia and James raised 3 children, Donna Cody of Memphis, TN, Ronald Cody of Bartlett, TN and Diane Cody Pegrim (Andrew) of Bartlett, TN. 

Virginia is survived by 2 of her children Donna Cody and Ronald Cody. Virginia was preceded in death by her daughter Diane Cody Pegrim. Virginia also leaves 8 grandchildren, Ashley Parker (Johnny), Christopher Stafford (Mina) and Zachary Stafford (Milvia), Addison Pegrim (Summer), Alana Parotte (Daniel), Chase Pegrim (Lauren), Parker Cody and Hallie Morrison (Raheem) and 10 great grandchildren. Virginia is survived by 3 sisters, Lavada Phillips of Corinth, MS, Treva Glidewell of Adamsville, TN and Auriella Cody of Adamsville. Virginia was preceded in death by her sister Ilene Garrison and her brother Favil Meek. 

Virginia graduated from Adamsville High School in Adamsville, TN. Virginia attended church every Sunday with her children. Virginia was always smiling. Virginia worked as a custom drapery seamstress for Nancy Draperies for a number of years and then retired as a home maker. Virginia was adored by her family. The family is heartbroken by her passing. 

Virginia will be best remembered as a woman who loved her family and exemplified by her faith in Jesus through selfless service to her family, always putting her family first. Virginia will always be remembered for her love of the outdoors whether it was water skiing, riding the waves on her Jet ski, fishing or working in the flower beds.
