Virginia Lucille Dennis, 94, widow of Cecil Edward Dennis, died on August 3, 2013. Mrs. Dennis was employed by Sears Roebuck and Company for 18 years in telephone sales. She was a member of the Church of Christ Congregations at Raleigh, Frayser and Macon Road. Mrs. Dennis is survived by her sons, James E. (Judy) Dennis, Thomas L. (Carla) Dennis; daughter, Betty J. Dennis; granddaughter, Jennifer C. Dennis; grandsons, Jason S. Dennis, Jeremy T. Dennis (Teresa); brother, Jack Dennis Cowart; sisters, Effie Beasley, Ethel C. Schmidt; brother-in-law, Jack Glass; sister-in-law, Mary Cowart. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 7 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill East Cemetery with Brother Jimmy Moffitt, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of the donor''s choice.
