Virginia Ruth Kolbe went to be with her Lord on January 24, 2021 where she joined her husband, Norman Roy Kolbe.

Virginia was a loving sister, mother, grandma, great-grandma, and friend. She was a very giving and compassionate person. Some aspects that stand out about her w ere her willingness to walk for "Diabetes Prevention". She participated in a lot of 5ks to raise funds and awareness for this cause. She also was very giving in making quilts for people in the nursing home in Ulysses, KS. She was honored for this task at the Mother Daughter Banquet in 201 5 . Her favorite forms of socialization were attending Antioch Baptist Church in Mumford, TN and playing "Phase Ten" with anyone who would play with her.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters. They are as follows:

Jeanne (Smith) Amlaw who lives in Somerville, MA. Her children are David and Steven.

David and Rosemary (Long) Smith who live in Somerville, MA. Their children are Casey, Lucy, and Jesse.

Bruce and Kathryn (Halbert) Smith who live in Tewksbury, MA. Their children are Jennifer and Kelley.

Geo ffrey James who lives in Brooklyn, NY. His children are Alexander and Aunya.

Lynn (Smith) and Michael Perriello who live in Somerville, MA. Their children are James, Chris, and Alison.
