"Pete" Williams

Pete Williams was born on August 8 th , 1934. He moved into the Kingdom of God on December 23 rd , 2020 at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joyce Willard Williams; his son and daughter in law, Rick Williams and
Marian Agner Williams; all of Southaven, MS. He is also survived by two sisters- Havis Rogers (Carol) and Rosemary Jeter (Charles) of New Albany; three grandchildren, Jessica Williams Contreras, Julia Williams Rhodes (Patrick), and Jennifer Williams Schaibly (D. Jay); four great grandchildren, Chloe Patrick, Alex Contreras, Liana Schaibly, and Kaylee Schaibly. Along with numerous nephew, nieces, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Sally Williams, and a sister, Shelby Harrison.
Pete was a devoted member of LifeSpring United Methodist Church, whose pastor is his son, Rick Williams. He made a profession of faith in the spring of 1973 and lived out his commitment until the day of his death. He was a 30+ year employee of American Airlines, who loved his job. He was also a founding member of the Little League in Southaven, helped build Donny Woods Field where the games were played, and was a coach in both the Little League and Babe Ruth League in Southaven.
His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the delight of his life. He spent most of his time and money spoiling them. He was a faithful husband, a loving father, and the best kind of friend. He will be greatly missed.
The family requests that any memorials be sent to the church that he loved, LifeSpring UMC, 1090 Main Street, Southaven, MS 38671. All flowers should be sent to Forest Hill Cemetery South in Memphis, TN. The family will have a private memorial service at LifeSpring church in Southaven at 1pm Monday afternoon for the immediate and extended family of Pete Williams; with a public graveside service for friends and family at 2pm at Forest Hill Cemetery South in Memphis, TN.
