Walter Everett "Bill" Dempsey, 87, of Memphis passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Methodist North Hospital. Mr. Dempsey was born in Pleasant Site, AL to the late Walter A. and Gladys P. Dempsey. He was a Memphis Tech graduate, a WWII Army Veteran and retired from International Harvester after 33 years. He is a member of Forestview Church of Christ. Bill is survived by his wife, Juanita Lemay Dempsey; two daughters, Debbie Pratt and Mary Locke and a son, John Dempsey; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 at Forest Hill East with service following starting at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Munford Cemetery at a later date.
