Walter A. May, Jr. of Southaven, MS passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at North Delta Hospice in Southaven, MS. Mr. May served in the U.S. Army and U. S. Navy. During his career he worked in several areas including insurance sales. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jimmie May and a son, Wilbur "Bill" May. He leaves his wife of 25 years, Madge May; children, Judy May of San Antonio, TX, Wally May of Coldwater, MS, Jana Graves (Shane) of Memphis and Lisa Short (Richard) of Eads, TN; one sister, Beth Bouland of Culleoka, TN; Six step-children: Joyce Hodge Holly Springs, MS, Susan Austin of Horn Lake , MS, Janie Crowder of Olive Branch, MS, Jim Mitchell of Horn Lake, Dennis and Johnny Gifford of Walls, MS; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Service will be 12 noon Monday, October 19 at First Baptist Church of Horn Lake 3505 Goodman Rd.W. with visitation starting at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
