Walter A Wise, SR, 85, passed away in Memphis, Tennessee on July 5, 2019. He was a United States Army Veteran, who served his country proudly. Mr. Wise was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and was retired from Dupont, where he was a Control Room Operator. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Wise, and two sisters, Mary Zennith and Dixie. Left to honor and cherish his memory are his loving wife of 66 years, Virginia Thompson Wise, and his children, Karen (Dale) Lane of Bartlett, TN, and Walter A. (Gail) Wise, Jr. of Arlington, TN. He has been blessed with five grandchildren:  Ashley, Jarrett, Kyle, Kara, and Karley, and six great-grandchildren: Bryley, Presley, Jude, Isabella, Braxton, and Ava. Mr. Wise loved Gospel music, gardening, and his grandchildren. Visitation with his family will be on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, from 1:00-2:00 p.m., with his funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East on Whitten Road.  901-382-1000
