Southaven - Walter L. Whaley, Sr., 79, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at his home. Mr. Whaley is retired from IBEW local 474. He is preceded in death by his parents: Elmer L. and Geraldine Whaley. He leaves his wife, Sharon Whaley; his daughter, Beth and two sons: Walt Whaley, Jr. (Shiela) and Jeffrey Whaley (Kay); two sisters, Mary Evans and Marcie Dobbs and one brother, James Whaley (Elva). Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5 at Forest Hill South with visitation Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti, MO.
