Obituary

Wanda Jean "Nanny" Barlow, 91, passed away in Southaven, MS.  on March 29, 2018.  Mrs. Barlow was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was also a very influential citizen of Desoto County and was voted that distinguished recognition five years ago.  She was an active member of LaBelle Haven Church and the senior adult choir, every year reading her Bible from Genesis to Revelation. She was a member of AARP 55 Alive for many years and volunteered as a tax preparer at the Southaven Library.  Mrs. Barlow was retired from the IRS where she had worked as an accountant and had received numerous commendations and community service awards.  Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Belinda McCrory(Bill) and Rita Christian (Chip); she also leaves four grandchildren Benji McCrory, Mikey McCrory, Amye Edlin and Sam Hall IV; 10 great grandchildren; Jane Claire McCrory, Ben McCrory, Ian Dean, Abigal Dean, Taylor Jo Edlin, Isaac McCrory, Ezra McCrory, Sam Hall V, Maddie Hall and Avery Hall, one brother MB Gentry and a sister Betty Ruth Bevill. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Isaac Barlow.  Visitation and service will be at LaBelle Haven Church in Olive Branch, MS., Monday, April 2, 2018, visitation from 1:00-2:00 with service following at 2:00.
