MEMPHIS, TN-------Wanda Parsons 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Spring Gate Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Memphis, TN.  She was born August 23, 1936 in Eaton, Arkansas.  She retired from Sears Dept Store in Memphis and was also an accomplished cake decorator.  She baked and decorated many wedding and birthday cakes as well as cakes for other occasions.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, William Parsons in 1989, son William Michael Parsons in 2017, Mother and Father Delbert and Maggie Drum, and her Grandpa and Grandma Ross and Leona Drum.

She is survived by one son, David Parsons; two grandchildred Scarlett Hart (Michael) and Michael Parsons, Jr.; seven great grandchildren, Caitlan, Matthew, Olyessa, Peyton, Abbygaile, Jeremia and Carder; one Daughter-In-Law, Susan; Lorean Guyer her dear Aunt from Illinois;  3 special cousins, Char Ellington, Donna Dowell and Mary McCarty; as well  two other aunts and many cousins in Illinois who all loved her dearly.

A woman of faith, she could often be found deep in her Bible before her health robbed her of the ability to do so.  Wanda was a beautiful and courageous women.  Her positive attitude was, and will continue to be, a source of inspiration in the hearts of all who knew her.  She was the most humble person you will ever meet and loved everyone with an equal heart, she was such a pleasant person to spend time with.  She had a fondness for animals, she will never and could never be forgotten.

Forest Hill Funeral Home – East in Memphis is in charge of arrangements. Due to COVID-19 mandates, there will not be any funeral services.  A small Graveside services will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis with no more than 10 people in attendance due to mandate.
