Obituary

Wayne W. Spence, 85, of Senatobia, MS passed away on September 29, 2020 at The Mississippi Veterans Home in Oxford, MS.

Wayne was born in Friendship, TN and attended high school at Humes High School in Memphis.  He was a veteran of the US Army where he served in Korea.  Wayne worked as a route salesman for various companies in Memphis and in Senatobia.  He enjoyed his work as a route salesman because of the all the people he met along the way.

Wayne enjoyed being outside, watching football, talking about old cars and playing with his dogs.  You could usually find him sitting in his recliner with at least one dog sharing it with him.  He looked forward to fall when he enjoyed eating pumpkin pie and drinking his wife's homemade boiled custard.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Doris Frazier Spence of Senatobia,  his son Dwayne Spence of Senatobia and his daughter, Lynn Spence, of Memphis.  He is also survived by his older brother Maxey Spence (Faye) of Lakeland, TN and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, WN and Madelyn Spence and his older brother, Bill J Spence.

Wayne was a follower of Jesus and now resides in his eternal home.
