Wildred A. Cook, 77, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012. A celebration of her life will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home-South, on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 12 noon. Born January 10, 1935, Mrs. Cook was the daughter of the late Tommie and Onie Ainsworth. She was the wife of Bennie Ray Cook, who she married October 24, 1950. Mrs. Cook was a member of DeSoto Hills Baptist Church. She was a past employee of Ely & Walker, Inc. She was devoted to her family, her church and Sunday School Class, and to her friends. She enjoyed hosting family and friends in her home. Also surviving her are her son, Bronny Cook and wife Sandie of Southaven; her daughter, Bridget Cook Reemes and husband, Philip of Mechanicsburg, PA; one granddaughter, Carla Shaner; four great-granddaughters, Kristen Shaner, Jordan Shaner, Taylor Criswell, and Morgan Criswell; one step-granddaughter, Stephanie Colter; two step great-grandchildren, Haley Colter and Preston Colter; three brothers, Avery Ainsworth, Lyn Ainsworth and wife Carlene, and Max Ainsworth; and two sisters, Maurine Delk and Blanch Duff and husband, James. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were one sister, Rae Mitchell, one great-grandchild and one great-great-grandchild. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to DeSoto Hills Baptist Church, 4680 Getwell Road, Southaven, MS 38672.
