Willa Dean Higdon, 83, of Olive Branch, MS passed away on October 27, 2022 at Bolivar Medical Long Term Care in Cleveland, MS.

Visitation will start at 10:00a.m. and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3867 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN, Friday, November 4, 2022 at 11:00a.m.,  Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery East, 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN.

Mrs. Higdon was born February 23, 1939 in Clarksdale, MS and was reared in Friars Point, MS.  She was one of the first boarding students at St. Elizabeth Catholic School in Clarksdale, MS. She was a devout Catholic and served her church in many ministries.

She is survived by her sisters, Mary Ann Fava of Alligator, MS; Charlotte Young of Clarksdale, MS; and Linda Helms of Horn Lake, MS; and brother, Paul David Morris of Hernando, MS.  She also leaves her step-daughters, Karen Shrader (Thurston) of Memphis, TN; Laura Childress (Ken) of Atoka, TN; and Karen Brown (Greg) of Bartlett, TN. Along with two Godchildren, Christopher Young (Leigh) and Melissa Hite (Lynn) a number of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly, and ten grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Cora Bee Morris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Williard Lindsey; her second husband, William "Bill" Higdon; brothers, Charlie Morris, Jr. and James Robert Morris; and sister, Nancy Morris.
