Willadean Walters Cunningham passed away on October 3, 2017. The family knew her as "Dut" (short for Dutchess). She was born in Sheridan, Arkansas, to Bowling and Ora Walters, on October 26, 1924. She grew up in Highland and graduated from Murfreesboro High School in 1943. She lived in Memphis for the past 45 years. Aged 92 and 11 months, Willadean was the last of her siblings: Marie Moyer, Billy Walters, Sammie Red, Frankie Hooker, Jolene Davis; and Cricket and Benny Walters, who died in childhood. She was the widow of Lawrence Cunningham. She loved flowers, her backyard, and Elvis. As her world grew smaller she lived for the words of MSNBC''s Chris, Rachel, and Lawrence. She is survived by her daughter, Kay Cunningham, with whom she lived, as well as 5 nephews and 6 nieces.

Visitation will be held from Noon until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017 with services following at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN 38133. (901) 382-1000
