Willard E. Ladd, "Papaw", 86, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 13, 2018, at his home.  He was surrounded by his loving family when he went to meet Jesus.  He was born on October 14, 1931 in Pontotoc, MS, to the late Ruben and Doris Ladd.  He was a member of the Church of Christ.  After retiring with a rank of CW-3 with the United States Army, Mr. Ladd went to work for Humko/Whitco.  In his spare time, Mr. Ladd was an avid bowler, but most of all he was a man who loved his family.  He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Patricia Wilkinson (Robert), and Peggy Reber; a daughter- in law, Kay Ladd; six grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Betty Ladd, who died January 1, 2013; a son, Richard Ladd, who died January 1, 2018; a brother, William Ladd; and a sister, Mary Randolph.  Visitation for Mr. Ladd will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, April 16, 2018.  Funeral services for Mr. Ladd will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 17, 2018 with interment to follow.  All services are entrusted to Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, East Chapel, located at 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN, 38133.
