William E. "Bill" Alexander 80, of Memphis passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Allenbrooke Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today, April 24 in Forest Hill Cemetery South. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Forest Hill Funeral Home South. He was born on May 31, 1931 in Memphis and was a retired Pressman from Quebecor. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Norma King Alexander, his parents, William Ray and Rosa Rebecca Williamson Alexander, his brother, Dennis Alexander, and his sister, Joy Morris. He leaves his sister-in-law, Elsie Phillips; his niece, Leslie Phillips; and his nephew, Tommy Williams. He loved all dogs and some men. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis, 535 Alabama Ave., Memphis, TN 38105 or Mid-South Spay and Neuter Services, 854 Goodman St., Memphis, TN 38111.
