WILLIAM ARTHUR "Andy" ANDERSON, 93, of Memphis, a born again child of God, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 14, 2013. He served as a deacon within his church family at Cherokee Baptist Church and faithfully served his Lord first and foremost. William served his country in the US Navy during WWII and owned and operated Andy''s Auto Upholstery for 35 years. He is survived by his two daughters, Jane Diel and Carol (Bud) Gee, both of Memphis, and four sons, Larry (Peggy) Anderson, Fred Anderson, both of Memphis, Gerald Anderson of Arlington, TN and Roger (Debbie) Anderson of Olive Branch, MS. He also leaves behind a daughter-in-law, Janet Anderson of Horn Lake, MS; a sister, Mary Garny and brother, Ruble Anderson of Memphis, and a brother, Raymond Anderson of Greensboro, North Carolina. His life and legacy are further celebrated and continued by his 12 grandchildren and his 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Anderson, his son, David Anderson, his daughter, Linda Goddard and his brother, Leo Anderson. The family will receive visitors from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m., Monday, November 18, all at Forest Hill East Funeral Home, with interment to follow.
