William Lynn Bendall, 84, of Memphis, TN, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013. He retired from International Harvester after 36 years of service. Mr. Bendall graduated from Treadwell High School and joined the Air Force. He served during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged from the Air Force with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Mr. Bendall was a member of Highland Heights Presbyterian Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher, deacon and elder. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathryn Frierson Bendall, one brother, Ray Bendall and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Bendall was preceded in death by his mother and father, Elizabeth Rothchild and Edward Brown Bendall; three brothers, James Bendall, Charles Bendall, Lee Bendall; and one sister, Helen Rexford. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Highland Heights Presbyterian Church with the funeral service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in College Hill Presbyterian Cemetery in Oxford, MS. In lieu of flowers, the family request any memorials be sent to the donor''s choice.
