William M. "Bill" Bumpus, 92, of Bartlett, TN, went to Heaven Inn to be with the Lord on February 16, 2014. Mr. Bumpus retired after 33 years for Fischer Lime and Cement Company. He was preceded in death by wife, Roberta, his daughter, Christine Williams, three sisters, Christine Lindsey, Mae Adams and Joyce Anderson. He was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. He left college to join the U.S. Navy in WWII, January 20, 1943, and served as a petty officer third class radar and radio operator and received an honorable discharge on October 20, 1945. He was a lifetime member of the OK Houck Masonic Lodge #95, the American Legion and also of Richland Baptist Church. Visitation will be 12 p.m. until service begins at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with interment following.
