William Clayton "Bill" Davis, Sr., 89, of Coldwater, MS, formerly of Memphis passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in Falkville, AL. Mr. Davis was an Army Veteran. He retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company where he worked as an inspector and a member of First Baptist Church of Coldwater. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Juanita Davis; one brother, Kenneth Davis and parents: William Afton and Bernice Kiel Davis. He leaves one son, William C. Davis, II (Terri) of Olive Branch, MS; four daughters: Sharon Simpson (Woody) of Ingram''s Mill, MS, Denise Martin (Keith) of Hartselle, AL, Janice Griffin (Carl) of Southaven, MS and Anita Ashley (Randy) of Falkville, AL; one brother, L.A. Davis (Sylvia) of Oxford, MS; three sisters: Juanita Barry, Mary Tidwell and Pat Montgomery (Noel) all of Oxford, MS; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 23 at Forest Hill South with service immediately following. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
