William E. (Bill) Mashburn, 89, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 17, 2016 after a long struggle with cancer. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of sixty three years, Barbara, his dear son, Brent; his grandsons, Logan and Braxton (Mia); great grandsons, Liam and Troy; and great granddaughter, Elizabeth. All of whom he loved dearly. He graduated from Tech High, where he lettered in baseball. He proudly served in the Navy in WWII in the Pacific. He was a systems analyst and consultant for Firestone. Bill was a past deacon at Bellevue Baptist, ordained by Dr. R.G. Lee. A celebration of life will be 2 pm, Wednesday in the Chapel at Bellevue Baptist. The family will welcome friends at 12 pm until the service time. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mid-America Seminary or Love Worth Finding. He was a faithful follower of the Lord Jesus and a worthy member of the Greatest Generation.
