William "Bill" Bomprezzi, age 74, passed away peacefully in Memphis TN, February 28, 2020. The celebration for his life will take place on March 4th, 2020 at Forest Hill Funeral Home East on Whitten Road in Memphis TN. A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 3rd, from 5 pm-7 pm also at Forest Hill Funeral Home East.

Bill was born March 13, 1945, in Memphis Tn. He worked as a City of Memphis Firefighter and retired after 34 years in 2002. From his first assignment on engine 22 to his last assignment on Truck 7, firefighting was his life and he considered each fellow firefighter along the way part of his family. He also enjoyed spending hours in his "shed" woodworking and rediscovering lost tools and screws he had been looking for over the years.

Bill took enormous pride in his family. There was no better dad, brother, uncle, son, or cousin as "he was one of the good ones". He would teach you to cook, sew, iron, change your car brakes, or simply just hang out and have coffee. His rules were unspoken but very clear to all; never miss meals, each of those meals is an "occasion", do your best at everything you do, and help those who are in need. Simply put, he was awesome.
Bill is survived by his son, Bill Jr. and his wife Courtney, his grandchildren Anthony and Michael, his brother Harold and his wife Alma, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents John Joseph and Lillian, and his brother Joe.
