Mr. William D. Caldwell went to be with his Lord on Monday, October 1, 2018 after a short illness, surrounded by his family. Mr. Caldwell was a World War II veteran with the United States Army, as well a veteran with the Memphis Police Department's Motorcycle Brigade. While on this journey, he was a member of the Embury United Methodist Church as well as a member of the choir.
He leaves to share in his glorious and memorable life, his wife of 60 years, Mrs. Patsy Poteet Caldwell. He also leaves one son, William Donald Caldwell, Jr. (Anna B. Wells); five daughters, Donna Jean McCartney, Rebecca Caldwell Miller (Lee), Tambra Caldwell Kleminsky (Jeff), Tina Caldwell Clark (Donald) and Julie Caldwell Kennon (Doug); two brothers, Ronnie Caldwell (Louise), and Larry Caldwell (Mary); ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive guests for a visitation service on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until funeral service time at 2:00 p.m., all at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park - East; 2440 Whitten Road, with burial services to conclude at Embury United Methodist Church Cemetery; 2060 Locke Cuba Road; Millington, Tennessee.
