Obituary

William "Bo" Marlin Fancher, 92, of Southaven, MS. passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. He was a great man of faith and a member of Getwell Methodist Church.

Mr. Fancher was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years, Alta Gail Fancher; and his parents William 'Pete' and Virginia Copeland Fancher.

He is survived by four children, Kelly (Linda) Fancher, Tracy (Lisa) Fancher, Brian (Terry) Fancher, and Rene (Jeff) Farrell; 8 grandchildren, Reed (Rosemary), Alex, Logan, Madison (Cameron), Dallas, Kendal, Lindsey and Jake; and 5 great grandchildren, Sophia, Daniel, Nathan, Shiloh, and Hudson; and one brother, Robert Fancher.

Bo was a kind, friendly man of many talents and a jack of all trades. Bo was from Nettelton, Mississippi and enjoyed his childhood growing up farming with his brother Robert. His fondest memories were collecting antiques, riding on tractors, raising cattle and raising his three sons and daughter.

He was also a man of service. Not only did he serve our country in the United States Army, he was apart of The Korean War and was awarded 2 Bronze Stars. "Hotty Toddy", he was a die hard fan of Ole Miss Football and spent his spare time directing and coaching little league baseball within WJBA. Bo was truly a people person, he never met a stranger and was all about helping others in need. Bo retired from MLG&W after 25 years of service and went on to work and retire from National Mortgage and got his HVAC license. Bo was at "The Skillet" every morning to tell lies, socialize and solve the world's problems with all of his cronies. He also loved to do oil paintings of old barns. Bo loved to do many things and found ways to spend his time. But nothing was more satisfying than spending time with his family, friends, and his dogs, Biscuit and Sandy.
