Obituary

William Lloyd "Bud" Freeman, 83, of Southaven, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 15, 2025, with his loving wife and adored puppy, Lola by his side.

He is survived by his wife of over 44 years, Betty; daughters, Terri Honeycutt of Southaven, Rhonda Winkler
(Aaron) of Little Rock, AR, and Jenny Camp of Southaven; five granddaughters Melody Carroll, Lesley Holt, Amber Sanders (Dakota), Julia Roberson, and Lily Kate Bradley (Austin), and two grandsons Blake Sanders (Torie) of Hernando and Chase Honeycutt (Cheyenne) of Odenville, AL, and nine great-grandchildren; a cherished cousin Eddy Tubah (Cindy) of Southaven, and a wellloved nephew, Michael Stark of Southaven; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Terri Woolbright of Southaven. Mr. Freeman was an accomplished salesman. He was a hardworking, dedicated and loyal employee. He started working on Presidents Island mopping floors at age 16 at what would become National Bedding. He worked his way up through the company 60+ years and through buyouts to becoming a Purchasing Director and eventually Vice President of Purchasing and Sales at Leggett & Platt Tupelo Fibers. He was a Member of Carriage Hills Baptist Church.


Funeral services will be held at Carriage Hills Baptist Church in Southaven, Mississippi, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, with visitation from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm and funeral services at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery South in Memphis, Tennessee.
